1) R.C. fascia was installed on the entire low roof areas. Cedar is not considered a structural framing member and is not code compliant without a structural 2x sub-fascia.
2) The builders representative and the shell contractor was made aware that this partial roof sheathing is giving them an approval to dry-in the lower roof/plywood so the rain doesn't start to delaminate the roof sheathing.
3) The previous roof sheathing inspection was disapproved because of the cedar fascia used. It was suggested that in lieu of removing the cedar fascia it would be acceptable to block between all truss tails with a 2x S.Y.P blocking. Then nail the ends of the blocking to the truss tails and nail the plywood sheathing @ 4" oc into the blocking around the entire perimeter.
